Tantalus Rex
Made entirely from oak bourbon barrel staves, the Tantalus Rex is an elegant and simple hand-crafted design with a handmade threaded T-handle that adjusts to accommodate bottles of varying heights. The wood maintains the natural char of the barrel (sealed so it won’t get your hands dirty!) with an old-fashioned tung oil finish, but can be stained to suit. The T-handle comes with our Tantalus Signature Coin and keyed lock.
TANTALUS SIGNATURE COIN
The Tantalus Signature Coin is made of cast metal mounted on the top of the adjusting T-handle and underneath the bottle base. The coin is our unique calling card with our logo on one side and our website (tantalusrex.com) on the reverse. You will find an extra coin included for sharing with interested friends.
Coins with military or school insignia are very popular. We can procure a coin of your choice or mount one you already own.
DIMENSIONS & COLOR
The overall height of the standard Tantalus Rex is 18 inches tall by 10.5 inches wide and 3.4 inches thick. Each Tantalus order will be sized to fit your bottle. If your bottle size is unknown, the standard Tantalus Rex will fit most bottles between 12.5 to 14 inches tall and 3" in diameter.
Your Tantalus Rex can be stained within the range of standard manufacturers. Please call to specify your requirements.
SHIPPING INFORMATION
Your Tantalus comes in a crate made from salvaged wood from the Great Dismal Swamp and is suitable for re-use. Please allow up to three (3) weeks for your custom made Tantalus. Rush orders can be accommodated. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
